I moved somewhere with a bag tax for plastic bags at the grocery store. I bought a set of these to use instead. They are great! I've had them for a few months now. I have overloaded them more than once with heavy groceries and they held up well. I have also used them to transport art supplies to the school I work at and the clean up after was so easy! I can refold them easily back into the bag. They are never as small the second time around but I can still easily fit them in the pocket on the back of my seat in my car so they are always available for use.My coworker has been gifting these to us for years. Now I've began to gift them. I love these reusable bags for grocery shopping.Bags are used for grocery shopping. They are very big and strong. Great purchase!These are great. Easy store in my purse and great size. Bigger than store bags, but not so big that I then can’t carry.Nice construction and good materialWe bought these two years ago when we moved to Europe, since grocery stores don't give out plastic bags here. We have three of these bags, and my husband uses them all at least every other day for shopping. They routinely get used for heavy stuff like milk and wine. Whenever they get a bit dirty, I toss them in the wash. All three have held up with no fraying or holes. They're so much better than the plastic-burlap bags we sometimes used shopping the in the US.The handles aren't quite long enough to wear comfortably over a shoulder, but that can be done in a pinch. I have a similar longer-handled bag that can easily go over the shoulder, but that other bag is less easy to carry by the handles. This handle length is a good compromise--really more for carrying by the handle than over the shoulder in most cases.They fold up into their own pocket, but not into the nice little flat-looking rectangles pictured. The are more like little sachets the size of a woman's fist. They are super light weight and easy to stash in a purse. I would buy more, but we don't need to, as these just don't wear out.Edit: 5+ years later with regular use, these bags are going strong.Our city has a plastic shopping bag ban, so I keep these in the car. They are so handy and hold quite a lot. Easy to fold and tuck back into the attached pocket. Fabric is thick and sturdy. Would definitely recommend.Works well
