If there is one book that has affected me so much to the extent that, I have written down on a post-it pad a quote from it to serve as a reminder that I have a goal to reach; a goal that would serve as a motivation and a guiding force, and carried this quote with me wherever I lived and/or traveled to, this book is it. Ironically, and interestingly enough, the book that I received (April 2003) as an early gift for my birthday in May 2003 ...."El Equipaje Abierto" by Felipe Benitez Reyes (a book of poems), was a precursor to my reading this book that would change my life. Where my receipt of "El Equipaje Abierto" served as a foreboding/omen (due to its prophetic significance) .... "Repacking your Bags" has been my guiding force throughout the years, to get back to where I could finally, literally unpack my bags and find a place to call home.
