Packing cubes do add a bit of weight (not much), which is something to consider when every ounce counts, such as with international flights. However, I'm delighted to pack maybe one shirt less to accommodate using these cubes. Love the way they compress. I used them for a driving vacation (no weight concerns) and they worked wonders to organize my suitcase; I'm excited to use them for an upcoming flight b/c of the neat and orderly suitcase they'll produce. Keep in mind that the large 15" size is a bit hard to use, b/c it sits like a giant plank atop everything else; I have just one of those but the rest are much smaller. Great purchase.
